Boehringer's EURICAN Herpes 205 (canine herpes vaccine (inactivated subunit)) is a used to protect puppies from death, symptoms, and lesions caused by canine herpes virus infections in the first few days of life. It is a purified subunit vaccine given to pregnant female dogs to provide passive immunity to their puppies.

It is a purified subunit vaccine given to pregnant female dogs to provide passive immunity to their puppies.
– Contains parts of the canine herpes virus. When a pregnant dog is vaccinated, her immune system produces antibodies that are then transferred to her puppies through the colostrum. This helps protect the puppies from infection or reduces the severity of the disease.
– The vaccine is given as two injections under the skin. The first injection is given when the dog is in heat or shortly after mating, and the second is given 1-2 weeks before the expected birth date.
