Amoxicillin and Potassium Clavulanate Tablets
Clavpet 500 is a broad-spectrum veterinary antibiotic used for traating wounds, abscesses, cellulitis, and both superficial and deep pyoderma in dogs and cats. Contains a combination of Amoxicillin (400 mg) and Clavulanate Potassium.

INDICATIONS
- Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Treats wounds, abscesses, cellulitis, and both superficial and deep pyoderma.
- Dental/Periodontal Infections: Used for gingivitis and other gum diseases caused by aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
- Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Frequently prescribed for cystitis, particularly in cats, often caused by E. coli.
- Respiratory Tract Infections: Effective for both upper and lower respiratory infections.
- Digestive System Infections: Used to treat enteritis (inflammation of the small intestine).
ADMINISTRATION
- Route: Administered orally, typically twice daily at a recommended dose of 12.5 mg/kg of body weight.
- Duration: Treatment generally lasts 5–7 days, but chronic cases like deep pyoderma may require up to 21 days. Always complete the full course even if symptoms disappear early.
- Contraindications:Do not use in animals with a known hypersensitivity to penicillin or other beta-lactam antibiotics. It should not be administered to small herbivores like rabbits, guinea pigs, or hamsters.
- Side Effects: Potential gastrointestinal issues include vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of appetite.
