ADMINISTRATION

• Restrain the animal securely to access the ear.
• Prepare the site: Clean the skin on the back, middle third of the ear, ensuring it’s free from debris and tags.
• Locate the spot: Aim for the middle third, below the midline, well away from the head (not closer than the far edge of the cartilage ring).
• Insert the needle: Place the needle insertion point toward the ear tip, at least one needle length from the final deposition site.
• Inject: Press the trigger to deposit the pellets under the skin.
• Withdraw: The gun’s retraction bar automatically pulls the needle out.
• Repeat: The gun advances the cartridge for the next implant, and you repeat the process for subsequent animals.
