Huvepharma PoultrySulfa (sulfamerazine + sulfamethazine + sulfaquinoxaline) is a water-soluble antibiotic for chickens and turkeys.
INDICATIONS
- Chickens:
- Acute Fowl Cholera: Caused by Pasteurella multocida.
- Coccidiosis: Caused by Eimeria acervulina, E. maxima, E. brunetti, and E. tenella.
- Turkeys:
- Acute Fowl Cholera: Caused by Pasteurella multocida.
- Coccidiosis: Caused by Eimeria meleagrimitis and E. adenoeides.
ADMINISTRATION
- Administration Route: Exclusively through drinking water.
- Dosage for Coccidiosis (Chickens): Prepare a 0.04% solution (medicated water) and provide for 2–3 days, followed by 3 days of plain water, then a 0.025% solution for 2 days.
- Dosage for Fowl Cholera (Chickens/Turkeys): Provide a 0.025% solution for 2 days, followed by 3 days of plain water, then 0.025% solution for 2 days, and repeat as needed.
- Preparation: Mix fresh solution daily and do not mix or administer in galvanized containers.
- Duration: If improvement is not noted within 72 hours, reevaluate the condition..
- Important: Do not use in replacement pullets over 16 weeks of age.
