Ceva Immucox 5 vaccine provides protection against five major species of Eimeria, including Eimeria necatrix.

INDICATIONS

  • Target Disease: Prevents clinical signs and mortality caused by any of the five specified Eimeria species.
  • Target Animals: Healthy chickens, including chicks, broiler breeders, and layers.
  • Administration: Typically applied as a spray or in gel droplets at the hatchery, promoting early, uniform ingestion.
  • Mechanism: Induces protective immunity by delivering low doses of live, sporulated oocysts.
  • Warning: Not for use with other vaccines, and avoid feeding coccidiostats, as they can reduce vaccine efficacy.

ADMINISTRATION

Ceva Immucox 5 is an oral coccidiosis vaccine for poultry administered at day-old in the hatchery, usually via a specialized gel spray.
  • Gel-Droplet (Spray) Method: This is the most common commercial method. The vaccine is mixed with a specialized gel diluent (such as CevaGel) and sprayed over chicks in their crates. The gel droplets stick to the chicks’ down, and they ingest the vaccine through their natural pecking and preening behavior.
  • Drinking Water: In some settings, the vaccine can be administered through the flock’s drinking water.
  • Edible Gel Pucks: The vaccine may also be provided in an edible gel formulation for the birds to consume.
