Suigen APP+PM Vaccine
Virbac's Suigen APP+PM is an inactivated vaccine used to prevent pneumonia and pasteurellosis in sows and piglets. A WVA Veterinary Medicine.
Virbac’s Suigen APP+PM vaccine is designed to protect against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae types 1, 2, and 5, and Pasteurella multocida type D.
INDICATIONS
Target Species and Use Cases
Suigen App+Pm is a “2-in-1” vaccine designed for use in both sows and piglets.
- For Sows: Indicated for use during pregnancy to provide protection and is considered safe for pregnant animals.
- For Piglets: used to establish immunity against lung colonization and performance losses.
ADMINISTRATION
- Method: Deep intramuscular (i.m.) injection, preferably behind the ear or in the neck area.
- Preparation: Shake well before use and allow the vaccine to reach room temperature (15–25°C).
- Dosage for Piglets: 2 ml per piglet, starting from 5 weeks of age or older, with a second dose (re-vaccination) 3 to 4 weeks later.
- Dosage for Sows/Gilts: 3 ml per animal.
- Primary Vaccination: Administer 6 weeks before farrowing, with a re-vaccination 3 weeks later.
- Subsequent Pregnancies: A single 3 ml dose is recommended 3 weeks before expected farrowing.
