ArthriCox (firocoxib) is given to dogs to relieve pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, and soft-tissue, orthopaedic or dental surgery. Contains the active ingredient firocoxib, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Selectively inhibits COX-2, an enzyme involved in the production of prostaglandins, which is responsible for pain and inflammation.
