CORYVAC Coryza Vaccine

Kemin's CORYVAC is an inactivated, trivalent vaccine that protects chickens from Infectious Coryza, an avian disease affecting the upper respiratory tract of poultry. A WVA Veterinary Medicine.

Kemin’s CORYVAC trivalent vaccine is indicated for the immunization of chickens against Infectious Coryza (IC).

INDICATIONS

  • Disease Prevention: Protecting poultry against clinical signs and mortality associated with Infectious Coryza (IC), an avian respiratory disease.
  • Broad Serogroup Protection: Providing immunity against the three major serogroups of the bacterium Avibacterium paragallinarum: Serotypes A, B, and C.
  • Mitigating Economic Impact: Reducing losses related to decreased egg production (typically 10%–40%), compromised egg quality, and costs from secondary infections (e.g., E. coli or Mycoplasma) triggered by Coryza. 

ADMINISTRATION

  • Age: Birds can be vaccinated between 8 and 16 weeks of age
  • Dosage: The standard dose is 0.5 mL per bird.
  • Onset of immunity: Three weeks after the primary vaccination
  • Administration Routes:The vaccine is administered either by subcutaneous injection in the lower part of the neck or by intramuscular injection into the thigh or breast muscles.
  • Vaccination Program: Birds can be vaccinated from 8 to 16 weeks of age onward. A second dose is required 3 to 4 weeks later, at least two weeks before the onset of lay, to ensure protection during the laying period.
  • Preparation: The vaccine is an inactivated water-in-oil emulsion and must be shaken well before and periodically during use to ensure proper mixing. It should be allowed to reach ambient or room temperature before administration.
