Bromhexine Hydrochloride syrup is used for the treatment of respiratory disorders in cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, poultry, dogs, and cats.
INDICATIONS
- Pneumonia and Bronchopneumonia
- Bronchitis (acute and chronic)
- Rhinitis and persistent cough
- Chronic Respiratory Diseases (CRD) in poultry
- Infectious Bronchitis, Laryngotracheitis, and Infectious Coryza in poultry
ADMINISTRATION
The syrup is administered orally, either directly to individual animals or mixed into their drinking water, milk, or liquid feed, depending on the target species and product formulation.
- For individual animals (dogs and cats): The syrup is typically given via a syringe into the corner of the mouth, or mixed with a small amount of wet food to ensure the full dose is consumed.
- For livestock and poultry: It is generally added to the communal drinking water or feed, with specific measurements provided to achieve the correct concentration based on body weight and water intake.
Dosage
Dogs : 2.5 mL per kg of bodyweight orally twice daily for 5 days.
Cats : 2.5 mL per 2 kg of bodyweight orally once daily for 7 days.
