INDICATIONS

• Parturition (Farrowing) in Sows: Suacron is used to help manage the birthing process in female pigs (sows). By blocking beta-receptors, it counteracts the effects of adrenaline, which can cause uterine muscle relaxation and prolong labor. Its use can lead to shorter deliveries, reduced stillbirth rates, less need for manual intervention, and fewer postpartum disorders.
• Stress Prevention: The primary function of Suacron is to act as a tranquilizer or sedative to prevent stress in livestock. This is especially important:
  • During Transport: Administering Suacron before transport to the slaughterhouse helps reduce stress-induced losses (death) and prevents the development of poor quality meat (pale, soft, and exudative meat) caused by stress.
  • During Mating: It can be administered to male pigs (boars) to prevent frenzy and placate them during the mating process.
• Reproductive Management: In dairy cows, it may be used to alleviate stress during calving and can positively affect conception rates, often as part of artificial insemination protocols. 

ADMINISTRATION

• Administration Route: It is administered via deep intramuscular injection.
• Timing: The administration should occur 15-20 minutes before an anticipated stressful event.
• Duration of Effect: The effects of the product typically last for 8 to 12 hours, and a subsequent administration may be considered if needed after this timeframe.
