Cepravin Dry Cow is indicated for use in dry cows for the treatment of subclinical mastitis, and the prevention of bacterial infections.
INDICATIONS
- Existing infections: Eliminates subclinical infections present at drying off.
- Prevent new infections: Protects against common mastitis pathogens during the dry period.
- Broad-spectrum coverage: Effective against Gram-positive (Staph. aureus, Strep. uberis) and Gram-negative (E. coli, Klebsiella) bacteria.
- Long-lasting protection: Delivers high antibiotic levels for up to 10 weeks, reducing infection risk.
- Mastitis Control Programs: Used as part of a comprehensive “Five-Point Plan” for mastitis management.
ADMINISTRATION
One syringe is infused into each udder quarter immediately after the final milking. Maintaining proper hygiene is essential:
- Completely milk out the udder.
- Clean and disinfect the teat ends.
- Prepare the syringe for either short or full nozzle administration, being careful not to contaminate the tip.
- Gently insert the nozzle into the teat canal and infuse the full dose.
- Massage the treated quarter to disperse the antibiotic.
- Apply a suitable antiseptic post-milking teat dip.
