Chlorhexidine spray is indicated for treating bacterial and fungal skin issues in dogs, cats, and horses – hot spots, pyoderma, yeast infections, wounds, and itchy skin from allergies or insect bites – by providing antiseptic action to control microbial growth and soothe inflammation.
INDICATIONS
Disinfecting Wounds: To clean cuts, scrapes, burns, and other minor skin injuries, preventing infection.
Treating Skin Infections: To manage bacterial and fungal infections, such as hot spots, skin irritations, and rashes.
Post-Operative Care: To disinfect and protect skin following surgical procedures.
Hygiene: To maintain skin hygiene by preventing the growth of harmful microorganisms.
ADMINISTRATION
- Shake Well: Shake the bottle before use.
- Prepare Area: Gently brush the fur aside or clip hair around the affected spot to expose the skin.
- Spray: Hold the bottle about 12 inches away and spray evenly onto the irritated skin. Use just a few sprays, as it disperses naturally; don’t over-apply.
- Avoid Sensitive Areas: Keep the spray out of animal’s eyes, nose, and ears.
- Prevent Licking: Distract animal for several minutes (or until dry).
