INDICATIONS
for Dogs:
- Skin Infections: Wounds, abscesses, and superficial/deep pyoderma.
- Dental Infections: Periodontal infections, gingival tissue infections, and dental abscesses.
- Bone Infections: Osteomyelitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus.
- Soft Tissue Infections: Infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria.
for Cats:
- Skin Infections: Abscesses and infected wounds.
- Dental Infections: Infections involving oral tissues.
Other Applications:
- Toxoplasmosis: Clindamycin is considered a drug of choice for treating clinical Toxoplasma gondii infections in both dogs and cats.
ADMINISTRATION
- Method: The solution can be squirted directly into the pet’s mouth, or added to a small amount of food.
- Dosage Timing: Usually given every 12 hours for infected wounds, abscesses, and dental infections, though frequency can vary.
- With Food: It can be given with or without food. If vomiting occurs, a small amount of food or treats is recommended.
