Contacera (Meloxicam) is used to manage pain and inflammation in  cattle, pigs and horses. Its active ingredient is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, leading to anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. Available as a 20 mg/ml solution for injection and a 15 mg/ml oral suspension. 

• • Cattle:

    Contacera can reduce clinical signs of respiratory infections when used in conjunction with antibiotics, treat acute mastitis, and reduce clinical signs of diarrhea in calves and young, non-lactating cattle. It can also provide relief from post-operative pain after dehorning.
  • Pigs:

    Contacera is used to alleviate symptoms of lameness and inflammation associated with non-infectious locomotor disorders and as supportive therapy in the treatment of puerperal septicaemia and toxaemia, often used with antibiotics
  • Horses:

    Contacera can relieve pain associated with colic and alleviate inflammation and pain in both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, including both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders
