INDICATIONS
MULTI ADENO vaccine is indicated for the immunization of chickens to protect against specific diseases caused by various serotypes of fowl adenoviruses (FAdVs). The key indications for this type of vaccine include prevention of:
- Inclusion Body Hepatitis (IBH): A condition characterized by liver damage and intranuclear inclusion bodies in hepatocytes.
- Hydropericardium Hepatitis Syndrome (HHS): A disease resulting in the accumulation of clear fluid around the heart (hydropericardium) and liver inflammation.
ADMINISTRATION
- Preparation: Shake the vaccine well and use new, sterile needles and syringes to prevent contamination.
- Restraint: Secure the bird properly for the injection.
- Injection Site:
- Subcutaneous: Lower neck, just under the skin, angled away from the head.
- Intramuscular: Thigh or breast muscle, often at a 45° angle to avoid hitting organs.
- Dose: 0.5 mL per bird.
- Accidental Self-Injection: Contains mineral oil; seek immediate medical help if injected into yourself, showing the leaflet.
