INTACEF Tazo is an antibiotic containing ceftriaxone, belonging to the Cephalosporin class of medicine. It is used for severe bacterial infections of the brain, lungs, ear, stomach, urinary tract, joints, skin and any other surgical procedures. Ceftriaxone kills the infection-causing bacteria by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall.
