• Dermatophytosis (Ringworm): A common skin and nail infection.
• Blastomycosis: A serious fungal infection that can affect the lungs, bones, and skin.
• Histoplasmosis: A fungal infection primarily affecting the respiratory tract and other organs.
• Cryptococcosis: An infection that can impact the brain, respiratory tract, and other tissues (sometimes referred to as “window washer’s disease”).
• Aspergillosis: A fungal infection, often affecting the respiratory system (lungs, nasal passages).
• Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever): A systemic fungal disease common in certain regions.
• Malassezia (Yeast Dermatitis): A yeast infection of the skin.
• Candidiasis: A yeast infection that can affect the gastrointestinal tract, skin, and other areas. 

• Always give with food: Itraconazole capsules should always be administered with a full meal to ensure maximum absorption into the body. High-fat foods, like a small amount of cheese, butter, or fatty meats, can help promote better absorption.
• Follow dosage exactly: Give the medication exactly as your veterinarian has prescribed. The dose and frequency depend on the animal’s weight, the condition being treated, and the severity of the infection.
• Do not stop prematurely: Fungal infections often require long-term treatment, sometimes lasting weeks or months. It is crucial to complete the entire course of medication, even if your pet seems to be feeling better, to fully eliminate the infection and prevent recurrence.
• Missed dose: If you miss a dose, give it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and resume the normal schedule. Do not double up on doses.
