Kyron Labs Kaptan Powder is a topical antifungal treatment for ringworm in dogs, cats, horses, and cattle. It is a wettable powder containing the active ingredient Captan, a non-toxic fungicide that can be used safely in animals. A WVA Veterinary Medicine.

Kyron Labs Kaptan Powder is indicated for fungal skin infections like ringworm (dermatophytosis) in dogs, cats, horses, and cattle.

INDICATIONS

Target Species: It is safe for use on dogs, cats, horses, and cattle.
Primary Indication: Treatment of ringworm lesions (dermatophytosis).

ADMINISTRATION

Mix the Solution:
- Large Animals (Dogs, Horses, Cattle): Mix 40g of Kaptan Powder into 1 liter of water.
- Cats: Mix 20g of Kaptan Powder into 1 liter of water.
Application Method:
- Dipping: Submerge the affected area in the solution.
- Painting/Spraying: Apply the solution directly to the lesions using a brush or spray bottle.
Frequency: Apply the solution three times a week, or even daily if possible, until the skin lesions disappear.
Preparation: For best results, gently scrape or brush off any scabs from the lesions before applying the powder, as scabs can harbor the infection.
