Mirosamycin is a macrolide antibiotic used to treat respiratory and enteric bacterial infections in swine and poultry.

INDICATIONS

  • Protects animal health by binding and deactivating mycotoxins.
  • Remediation of mycotoxins (e.g., Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), Zearalenone (ZEN), Ochratoxin A (OTA), fumonisins, T-2 toxin, and Deoxynivalenol (DON)).
  • Supporting optimal function of the immune, hepatic (liver), reproductive, and digestive systems during exposure to these toxins, thereby improving animal welfare.
  • Improving production parameters such as growth rate, feed conversion, and fertility in livestock animals.
  • Reducing mortality rates associated with severe mycotoxicosis.
  • Preventing the transfer of mycotoxins into animal products, thus enhancing food safety.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Feed Additive: Incorporated into the total mixed ration or feed for farm animals.
  • Application: Added directly into animal feed, either preventively or during periods of high contamination.
  • Dosage: The amount is low-dose and determined by the specific feed contamination, but it’s designed to protect against toxins without significantly binding essential nutrients.
  • Prevention, Not Cure: It’s used to prevent diseases (mycotoxicosis) by reducing exposure, not as a treatment for sick animals.
  • Benefits: Improves animal performance, strengthens immunity, reduces inflammatory markers, and lowers mortality. Effective against a wide range of toxins, including endotoxins and algal toxins.
