Narasin (antimicrobial) is a feed additive for growing-finishing swine used to promote increased weight gain and improved feed efficiency.
INDICATIONS
- Increased Weight Gain: Helps pigs grow faster.
- Improved Feed Efficiency: Pigs convert feed to body weight more effectively, reducing costs.
- Feeding Duration: Effectiveness for these indications is demonstrated only when fed for a minimum of four consecutive weeks.
How it Works:
- Alters the gut microbiome, reducing certain bacteria and shifting energy production toward more beneficial pathways for the pig.
ADMINISTRATION
- Understand the Product: Skycis 100 is a Type A medicated article (narasin) that must be premixed into swine feed.
- Create a Pre-Blend: Thoroughly mix the required amount of Skycis with a portion of your non-medicated feed ingredients.
- Mix into Final Feed: Incorporate the pre-blend into the remaining feed to create the final Type C medicated feed.
- Target Concentration: Aim for 13.6 to 27.2 grams (15-30 ppm) of narasin per ton of Type C feed, depending on the goal.
- Feed Continuously: Administer it as the sole ration to growing-finishing swine for a minimum of four weeks.
- Species Restriction: It is strictly for use in swine. Ingestion by adult turkeys, horses, or other equines can be fatal.
