Bioveta ORNIVAC FC is an inactivated vaccine used in domestic fowl and turkeys to reduce clinical signs of poultry pasteurellosis caused by Pasteurella multocida (serotypes A1, A3, A4, and 3x4). A WVA Veterinary Medicine.

INDICATIONS

  • Target Species: Domestic fowl (chickens) and turkeys.
  • Pathogen Targeted: Pasteurella multocida (fowl cholera).
  • Administration: Intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.
  • Vaccination Schedule: Usually a two-dose regimen, with the second dose applied 4–6 weeks after the first.
  • Safety/Withdrawal: No contraindications listed. It is advised not to use within 3 weeks before slaughter and 4 weeks before the start of the laying period.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Target Species: Domestic fowl and turkeys.
  • Dose: 0.5mL.
  • Route: Subcutaneous (neck) or intramuscular (breast/pectoral muscle).
  • Preparation: Temper to room temperature (20-22 degrees C) and shake well before use.
  • Timing (Domestic Fowl): First dose from 6 weeks of age, second dose 4 weeks later, finishing at least 4 weeks before laying begins.
  • Timing (Turkey): First dose from 6 weeks of age, second dose 4–6 weeks later.
