ADMINISTRATION

  • Dosing: Measure the liquid form carefully using the provided measuring device (usually a syringe or dropper) to ensure accuracy.
  • Timing: Administer the medication at approximately the same time each day to maintain a stable level of the drug in the body.
    • For dogs, once-daily doses are often recommended in the morning.
    • For cats, once-daily doses are often recommended in the evening, aligning with their natural hormone cycles.
  • With Food: Give with food or immediately after a meal to help minimize the risk of stomach upset or gastrointestinal ulcers.
  • Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, give it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and resume the regular schedule. Do not give a double dose.
  • Do Not Stop Abruptly: Never stop administering the medication suddenly, especially after long-term use, as this can lead to severe, potentially life-threatening complications. The pet must be gradually weaned off the drug under veterinary supervision.
