• Gastrointestinal Infections: Effective against bacterial scours (diarrhea), salmonellosis, and neonatal diarrhea.
• Urinary & Urogenital Tract Infections: Used for cystitis, vaginitis, urethritis, nephritis, metritis, and post-parturient infections.
• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Treatment of wound infections, abscesses, and foul-in-the-foot (foot rot).
• Other Specific Conditions:
  • Severe mastitis and bacterial agalactia in sows.
  • Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM) in horses.
  • Infections of the eye, ear, and mouth.

ADMINISTRATION

• Directly by hand: Placing the bolus toward the back of the animal’s mouth.
• Balling gun: A specialized tool used to deposit the bolus safely and deep into the throat to ensure it is swallowed.
• Mixed with feed: Boluses can sometimes be crushed and mixed into small amounts of feed, milk, or milk replacer. 
• Administration Frequency: The medication is generally administered daily.
• Duration: Treatment usually continues until symptoms resolve.
• Hydration: It is critical to provide free access to water during treatment to prevent the formation of crystals in the urinary tract. 
• Intrauterine: Specifically used for treating metritis (uterine infection) in cows and mares.
