Trimathoprim is used to treat and prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs), such as gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by trimethoprim sensitive microorganisms in cattle and swine. Works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
