INDICATIONS

  • Treating White Muscle Disease (Myodegeneration): Injections are a key treatment for Selenium-Tocopherol Deficiency (STD) syndrome, commonly known as white muscle disease, in calves, lambs, and ewes. This condition causes muscle stiffness, weakness, rapid respiration, and sometimes sudden death.
  • Supporting Muscle and Nerve Function: Vitamin E is a crucial antioxidant that maintains normal neuromuscular function. Injections are used to manage inflammation in muscles and treat neurological diseases in horses, such as Equine Motor Neuron Disease (EMND).
  • Enhancing Immune Function: Vitamin E plays a significant role in modulating immune responses. Injections help strengthen the immune system and increase disease resistance, particularly during times of stress.
  • Improving Reproductive Health: Supplementation can enhance reproductive performance in breeding animals. Injections have been shown to reduce the incidence of retained fetal membranes (RFMs) in dairy cows and improve semen quality in rams. It may also lead to larger litter sizes in sows.
  • Addressing Dietary Deficiencies: The vitamin E content in stored feeds like hay or ensiled forage diminishes over time. Injections provide a rapid and efficient method to increase vitamin E status in animals when dietary intake is insufficient.
  • Treating Specific Conditions in Pets: In dogs and cats, vitamin E supplementation may be used to treat conditions like pansteatitis (inflammation of fat tissue), certain liver diseases, and cognitive dysfunction.
