INDICATIONS

  • Treating/Preventing Anemia: B12 is essential for the formation of healthy red blood cells.
  • Supporting Nervous System Function: Plays a crucial role in maintaining nerve health and the protective myelin sheath that surrounds nerve fibers, helping with nerve impulse transmission.
  • Enhancing Energy and Metabolism: Helps the body convert fats and carbohydrates into usable energy, improving overall vitality.
  • Aiding Digestion: Supports the function of the gastrointestinal system and is vital for pets with conditions that cause malabsorption issues or chronic diarrhea.
  • Promoting Growth: B12 is important for cell reproduction and protein synthesis, which is crucial for growth in young animals.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Prepare: Use a new, sterile syringe and needle; draw up the prescribed amount (e.g., 0.25-0.5 mL for small animals) of solution.
  • Position: Gently lift the loose skin, usually between the shoulder blades, to form a “tent”.
  • Insert: Insert the needle into this skin tent, ensuring it points down towards the body and doesn’t go through to the other side.
  • Inject: Slowly push the plunger to deposit the liquid under the skin.
