Ivermectin Tablets

Ivermectin tablets are indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease, and the control of internal and external parasites in livestock and small animals.

INDICATIONS

Heartworm Prevention: Specifically indicated for the monthly prevention of heartworm disease in dogs and cats.
Intestinal Parasites: Treatment and control of gastrointestinal roundworms and hookworms in small animals.
External Parasites: Treatment of various mites, including:
- Ear Mites: (Otodectes cynotis) in dogs and cats.
- Mange: Includes demodectic mange, sarcoptic mange (scabies), and notoedric mange.
- Lice: Effective against lice infestations in livestock and small animals.

ADMINISTRATION

Follow Instructions Exactly: The dosage and frequency depend heavily on the animal’s weight, the species, and the specific condition being treated.
Give by Mouth: The primary method for tablets is oral administration.
- As a Treat or in Food: You can offer the tablet in your hand or mix it with a small amount of food.
- Direct Administration: If the animal will not eat the tablet voluntarily, you may need to place it directly into its mouth. Ensure the entire tablet is consumed.
With or Without Food: The medication can generally be given with or without food. However, if the animal experiences nausea or vomiting when taking it on an empty stomach, try giving the animal a treat.
Adhere to the Schedule: For ongoing prevention, such as heartworm prevention, administer the dose on the same day each month.
