Sulfadimethoxine is a sulfonamide antimicrobial used to treat coccidiosis, but can also be used to treat other types of infections in dogs and cats. It is also an oral treatment against shipping fever, pneumonia, calf diphtheria, and foot rot in cattle (except dairy cows).
For cattle, make a stock solution by adding 1 packet of Sulfasol to 1 gallon of water. Treatment period for cattle: 5 consecutive days.
For broiler and replacement chickens in the treatment of disease outbreaks of coccidiosis, fowl cholera, and infectious coryza, use 1 packet Sulfasol to 50 gallons of water.
For meat-producing turkeys in the treatment of disease outbreaks of coccidiosis and fowl cholera, use 1 packet Sulfasol to 100 gallons of water.
Treatment period for chickens and turkeys: 6 consecutive days.
