Colistin is an oral antibiotic used to treat gastrointestinal infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria in calves, lambs, pigs, chickens and turkeys, to kill natural bacteria present in the stomach before surgery, and for treatment of gastrointestinal diseases followed by septicaemia
