INDICATIONS

• Breeder Immunization: Used to vaccinate breeder hens and replacement pullets (layers).
• Progeny Protection: Produces high levels of circulating antibodies (humoral immunity) in vaccinated breeders, which are transferred to the progeny (maternally derived antibodies).
• Disease Prevention: Protects against aplastic anemia, lymphoid atrophy, and the immunosuppressive effects of CIAV.
• Secondary Infection Prevention: Helps prevent the secondary bacterial, viral, and parasitic infections that occur due to CIAV-induced immunosuppression. 

ADMINISTRATION

• Method: Intramuscular (IM) injection is the primary method for inactivated vaccines. It is typically injected into breast or leg muscle.
• Dosage: The vaccine is usually administered at a specific volume per bird, as stated on the product label. Always check the specific product label for the precise dose.
• Target Population & Timing: It is primarily used in breeders or commercial layers. Vaccination is typically carried out before the onset of lay to ensure maternal antibodies are passed to the progeny.
• Administration Guidelines:
  • Preparation: Shake the vaccine well before and during use to ensure a homogeneous emulsion.
  • Equipment: Use a sterile syringe and a suitable needle.
  • Hygiene: Ensure strict aseptic techniques to avoid contamination at the injection site.
  • Safety: Do not use in birds currently in the laying period.
