GUIDELINES
Purpose: Protects cattle from Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP)
Strain: The T1/44 strain, which is a live attenuated strain.
Administration: It is given as a subcutaneous injection, typically in the mid-neck or thigh region.
Storage: The vaccine is freeze-dried and must be stored at 20 ∘C.
Potential side effects: While it is designed to prevent severe post-vaccinal reactions, some animals may still experience them, though their occurrence is unpredictable.
ADMINISTRATION
Preparation: Reconstitute the freeze-dried vaccine with the provided diluent immediately before use, keeping it cool and away from light.
Site Selection: Choose a site on the mid-neck, thigh, or specifically the caudal (tail) tip, ensuring the skin is clean and dry.

Use a sterile syringe and needle.
Form a skin fold (tent) at the injection site.
Insert the needle under the skin tent.
A slight pull on the plunger should show resistance without blood or air if correctly placed.
Inject the 0.5ml dose (for tail tip) or 2ml dose (for mid-neck/thigh).
Post-Vaccination: Monitor for local swelling (Willems reactions) or abscess formation, which are known side effects.
