Bovilis Nasalgen 3-PMH

MSD Bovilis Nasalgen 3-PMH is a modified-live intranasal vaccine designed to protect against Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) in cattle. Protects cattle against five major viral and bacterial causes of BRD, also known as pneumonia. Indicated for the vaccination of healthy cattle.

Paramyxovirus 3 Vaccine is indicated for respiratory disease, reduced egg production, poor hatchability, and nervous signs in poultry, primarily turkeys

INDICATIONS

  • Respiratory Distress: Coughing, sinusitis, airsacculitis.
  • Reproductive Issues: Major drop in egg laying, poor shell quality, infertility.
  • Neurological Signs: Tremors, paralysis, circling (especially in small birds like parakeets).
  • Economic Losses: High mortality rates, especially in young birds or susceptible populations, leading to significant farm losses. 

ADMINISTRATION

  • Subcutaneous Injection: Typically injected under the loose skin at the back of the neck.
  • Intramuscular Injection: Generally used for larger fowl, such as turkeys, in a large muscle mass like the breast or thigh muscle.

  • Killed/Inactivated Vaccine: Most available PMV-3 vaccines are inactivated (killed) virus oil-emulsion vaccines. These are always administered by injection (parenterally).
  • Dosage and Schedule: The specific dosage (e.g., 0.3 mL per bird) and revaccination schedule (e.g., a primary course of two injections 4 weeks apart).
