MSD Nobivac Canine 1-Pv is indicated for the vaccination of healthy dogs, 6 weeks or older, against Canine Parvovirus (CPV).
INDICATIONS
- Target: Prevention of Canine Parvovirus (CPV).
- Age: Safe for puppies as young as 3–4 weeks, with initial doses recommended around 42 days (6 weeks) of age.
- High-Risk Protection: Effective in environments with a severe threat of parvo.
- Maternal Antibody Interference: Proven to override moderate to high maternal antibody levels, making it effective in young puppies.
- Fast-Acting: High antigen mass allows for a shorter period from vaccination to protection.
- Vaccination Schedule: Initial 1 mL dose (IM or SQ) at 6 weeks, with boosters every 14–21 days until 18 weeks of age, then annual revaccination.
ADMINISTRATION
- Preparation: Shake the vial well before use and use a sterile syringe and needle (typically a 22 gauge, ¾ inch needle).
- Initial Vaccination: The first dose is generally recommended at approximately 42 days (6 weeks) of age.
- Puppy Schedule: Because maternal antibodies can interfere with the immune response, puppies should be revaccinated every 14 to 21 days until they reach 18 weeks of age.
- Adults & Boosters: Dogs over 18 weeks of age require a single 1 mL dose, with annual revaccination recommended.
