Tiamulin is a diterpenic antibiotic that is widely used in pigs and poultry for the control of infectious diseases. It is an oral medicated feed or water used to treat swine dysentery and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. Active against gram-positive bacteria, mycoplasmas, and anaerobes, including Brachyspira hyodysenteriae. Absorbed well when administered orally.
