HIPRAVIAR CLON Vaccine

HIPRAVIAR CLON is a live vaccine used to prevent Newcastle disease in poultry. It can be administered through ocular-nasal, oral, or spray methods. Utilizes a cloned virus strain (CL/79) for uniform and long-lasting protection.

Newcastle Disease Virus vaccine is indicated for healthy chickens to aid in the prevention of Newcastle Disease.

INDICATIONS

  • Prophylaxis: To protect healthy chickens from Newcastle Disease (respiratory issues, neurological signs, high mortality).
  • Risk Reduction: For flocks in areas with known outbreaks, in close contact with waterfowl, where exposure is likely.
  • Age-Specific Vaccination: Initial vaccination for day-old chicks, with boosters for older birds (e.g., 2 weeks, 4 weeks) using appropriate strains like B1 or LaSota.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Ocular/Nasal (Eye/Nose Drops): A single drop is placed in the bird’s open eye (waiting for a blink) or nostril (waiting for inhalation). This is common for young chicks and often done with live vaccines.
  • Drinking Water: Vaccines are mixed into water, often after making birds thirsty (e.g., by withholding water). All birds must drink the vaccine within a short time (e.g., 30 mins).
  • Coarse Spray (Aerosol): A coarse spray is applied above the birds, allowing them to inhale the vaccine. This is efficient for large flocks.
  • Intramuscular (IM) Injection: A dose (e.g., 0.5 ml) is injected into the breast, thigh, or the neck muscle. This is often used for inactivated vaccines as boosters.
  • Subcutaneous (SQ) Injection: Injected under the skin, usually in the lower neck.
