Tresaderm Topical Solution

Boehringer Tresaderm (Thiabendazole) is a broad-spectrum product used in treating bacteria, fungi, and associated inflammation in dogs and cats. It is a triple-action dermatologic solution that helps treat otitis externa, ringworm, hot spots, pyoderma, and flea allergy dermatitis. An FAO/WHO Veterinary Medicine.

Tresaderm Solution (Thiabendazole) is indicated for use in the treatment of bacterial, mycotic, and inflammatory dermatoses.

INDICATIONS

  • Otitis Externa: External ear canal inflammation or infection.
  • Bacterial Dermatoses: Skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria, most notably Staphylococcus aureus, Proteus vulgaris, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
  • Mycotic (Fungal) Dermatoses: Skin conditions caused by fungi, particularly ringworm species such as Microsporum and Trichophyton.
  • Inflammatory Skin Conditions: Localized areas of skin irritation, including “hot spots,” flea allergy dermatitis, and pyoderma. 

ADMINISTRATION

  • For Ear Infections (Otitis Externa):
    • Instill 5 to 15 drops into the affected ear canal twice daily.
    • The container nozzle is designed for safe and easy insertion into the outer opening of the ear canal.
    • Gently massage the base of the ear after application to help the solution penetrate.
  • For Skin Disorders (Dermatoses) on Other Areas:
    • Apply enough solution to thoroughly moisten the surface of the lesion, typically 2 to 4 drops per square inch, twice daily.
    • Gently massage the solution into the affected skin.
