• Target Infections: Treats external eye infections, such as bacterial conjunctivitis (“pink eye”), keratitis (corneal inflammation), and blepharitis (eyelid inflammation)
• Antibiotic action: Works by stopping the bacteria from producing essential proteins, which ultimately kills the bacteria and prevents their growth.
• Bacterial infections: Specifically used for bacterial infections of the eye. It will not work for infections caused by viruses or fungi.
• Topical application: Administered directly into the animal’s eye as either a liquid drop or an ointment.

ADMINISTRATION

• Position the Pet: Cradle your pet’s head and tilt their nose toward the ceiling. For better control, you can have the pet face the same direction as you or back them into a corner.
• Create a Pocket: Use your non-dominant hand to gently pull down the lower eyelid, creating a small pocket between the lid and the eyeball.
• Apply the Drops: Hold the dropper bottle close to the eye, but do not touch the tip to the eye, eyelashes, or any other surface to avoid contamination. Instill the number of drops recommended by your veterinarian into the pocket or directly onto the eye surface.
• Distribute the Medication: Release the eyelid and allow the pet to blink naturally, which helps spread the solution across the cornea. Gently hold the head back for a moment to ensure the drops are absorbed.
• Clean Residue: Gently wipe away any excess liquid from the pet’s face with a clean tissue.
