Amoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid is a broad-spectrum antibiotic for dogs, cats, and birds, used to treat bacterial infections.

INDICATIONS

• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Used for wounds, abscesses, cellulitis, and both superficial and deep pyoderma (skin infections).
• Periodontal (Dental) Infections: Specifically indicated for treating gum disease and tooth root abscesses in dogs.
• Urinary Tract Infections (UTI): Approved for treating cystitis in cats, and often used off-label for similar infections in dogs.
• Respiratory Tract Infections: Used for upper respiratory infections, bacterial pneumonia, and infections of the sinuses or airways in both dogs and cats.
• Gastrointestinal and Hepatic Infections: Sometimes prescribed for bacterial enteritis, infectious hepatitis, or pyometra. 

ADMINISTRATION

• Frequency: Typically administered every 12 hours (twice daily).
• With Food: Administering it with a meal or treat is highly recommended to prevent gastrointestinal side effects like vomiting or diarrhea.
• Chewable Tablets: These are often flavored (e.g., pork liver) and may be accepted by pets as a treat or mixed into food.
