B19 CZV Ocular Vaccine

CZ's B19 CZV Ocular Vaccine is used for the active immunization of cattle against Brucella abortus, the bacteria that causes brucellosis. Works by exposing the animal to a weakened form of the Brucella abortus bacteria. A WVA Veterinary Medicine.

Brucellosis vaccine is indicated for female cattle to stop Brucella abortus from causing abortions, stillbirths, or weak calves.

INDICATIONS

  • Disease Prevention: The vaccine prevents infection from B. abortus and B. melitensis, the bacterial species responsible for brucellosis.
  • Target Age/Sex: It is primarily for use in female cattle older than 3 months.
  • In regions with high disease prevalence, animals may receive a revaccination 2 months after the first dose.

ADMINISTRATION 

  • Administration Route: It is specifically designed for administration via the ocular (conjunctival) route, using a single drop per dose. This method can minimize persistent antibodies associated with the traditional subcutaneous administration
  • Dose: One drop 
  • Bovine females: Over 3 months old.
  • High-prevalence areas: A single dose can be given, or revaccination may occur two months after the first dose.
