Bioveta BioBos RCC is an inactivated veterinary vaccine used for the active immunization of pregnant heifers and cows to prevent calf scours.
INDICATIONS
Prevention of Neonatal Diarrhoea (Calf Scours): Specifically protects calves against gastroenteric diseases caused by:
Bovine Rotavirus
Bovine Coronavirus
Escherichia coli (E. coli) expressing F5 (K99) adhesin
Reduction of Pathogen Shedding: Helps reduce the faecal shedding of bovine rotavirus and coronavirus in infected calves, which limits environmental contamination and spread to herdmates.
Symptom Mitigation: Reduces the incidence and clinical severity of diarrhoea in calves that do become infected.
ADMINISTRATION
Administered as a single 2 mL intramuscular (IM) injection to pregnant cows and heifers.
Target Site: The recommended injection site is the anterior third of the neck.
Technique: Use a deep intramuscular injection to minimize potential swelling at the site.
Timing: Administer a single dose during each pregnancy, specifically 12 to 3 weeks before the expected calving.
Frequency: Annual revaccination is required with a single dose during the same 12–3 week window before subsequent calvings.
