Tecnovax Providean Clostridial 10P is a decavalent vaccine that specifically protects against Clostridium sordellii.ndicated for the prevention of symptomatic anthrax, gas gangrene, enterotoxemia, tetanus in cattle and sheep. A WVA Veterinary Medicine.

Tecnovax Providean Clostridial 10P is a polyvalent vaccine indicated for the active immunization of cattle and sheep against Clostridium sordellii.

INDICATIONS

Clostridium sordellii is an anaerobic bacterium that can cause severe, rapidly progressing infections, often associated with wound contamination, muscle damage, or other conditions that create a low-oxygen environment. 

  • Clostridial Diseases: Includes Blackleg (C. chauvoei), Malignant Edema (C. septicum), and Gas Gangrene.
  • Enterotoxemias: Protects against “Pulpy Kidney” and other conditions caused by Clostridium perfringens.
  • Tetanus: Prevention of “Lockjaw” (C. tetani), typically following wounds or management procedures like castration.
  • Pneumonia: Specific protection against respiratory issues caused by Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida.
  • Sudden Death Syndrome: Protection against Clostridium sordellii.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Preparation: Shake the vial thoroughly before filling the syringe and again before loading each subsequent syringe.
  • Initial Vaccination (Primo-vaccination):
    • Cattle: Apply two doses starting at 3 months of age, with a 15-day interval between them.
    • Sheep: Apply two doses starting from 2 months of age, with a 15-day interval between them.
  • Revaccination: An annual booster dose is required for all categories of animals. In sheep farms with a high prevalence of disease, revaccination every six months may be necessary.
  • Pregnant Females: To provide indirect protection to the offspring via colostrum, apply two doses during the 6th and 7th month of pregnancy.

  • Cattle: 2 ml per dose.
  • Sheep: 1 ml per dose.
