Rooyan Darou Dano ject 18 (danofloxacin) is indicated for the treatment of respiratory, enteric diseases, and specific bacterial infections in cattle and swine.
INDICATIONS
- Cattle:
- Treatment and control of BRD (Shipping Fever) caused by Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Histophilus somni.
- Treatment of acute mastitis caused by E. coli.
- Treatment of enteric (gut) infections in neonatal calves from E. coli.
- Swine:
- Respiratory disease due to Mannheimia haemolytica ,Pasteurella multocida, and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae.
- Enteric infections from E. coli.
- Poultry (Chicks/Poults):
- Control of early mortality linked to E. coli infections
ADMINISTRATION
Administration for cattle is subcutaneous in the neck. Dosage for treatment and control in high-risk cattle is 8 mg/kg once, while for multi-day treatment it’s 6 mg/kg, repeated once after about 48 hours.
- Route: Subcutaneous (SQ) injection is the approved and highly bioavailable route for cattle.
- Site: The injection should be given in the lateral neck region to avoid damaging valuable cuts of meat.
- Volume: The administered dose volume should not exceed 15 mL per injection site. For large animals requiring larger doses, the total volume must be divided into multiple injections at different sites.
