  • Nematodirus species (Nematodirus spathiger, N. battus, etc.)
  • Large mouthed bowel worm (Chabertia ovina)
  • Nodular worm (Oesophagostomum venulosum)
  • Whipworm (Trichuris ovis)
• Respiratory Nematodes:
  • Lungworm (Dictyocaulus filaria)

ADMINISTRATION

• Restrain the Animal: Secure the animal in a head bail or crush if possible.
• Calibrate the Gun: Check your drench gun to ensure it delivers the exact dose (e.g., 2 mg/kg DQL).
• Position the Gun: Stand to the side of the animal. Insert the nozzle into the corner of the mouth, angling it over the back of the tongue, not forcing it deep.
• Administer: Squeeze the gun gently and slowly to deliver the liquid.
• Ensure Swallowing: Hold the head up and allow the animal time to swallow, ensuring it goes down the esophagus, not the trachea.
• Clean Up: Clean your drenching equipment thoroughly after use
