Vetpolis Genmust (gentamicin) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat severe infections in horses, cattle, sheep, and goats.
INDICATIONS
For Dogs and Cats
- Urinary Tract Infections (cystitis and nephritis).
- Respiratory Tract Infections (pneumonia, tracheobronchitis).
- Skin and Soft Tissue Infections (including infected wounds).
- Uterine Infections (endometritis, metritis).
- Gastrointestinal Infections.
- Septicemia (bloodstream infections).
- Arthritis.
For Horses, Cattle, Sheep, and Goats
- Uterine Infections (metritis and cervicitis), often administered as an intrauterine infusion.
- Respiratory Infections.
- Gastrointestinal Infections (colibacillosis, salmonellosis).
- Soft Tissue Infections and infected wounds.
- Septic Arthritis (localized joint infections).
For Poultry (Chicks and Poults)
- Prevention of early mortality caused by susceptible Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Arizona hinshawii infections in 1- to 3-day-old birds.
ADMINISTRATION
- Intramuscular (IM): Injected directly into the muscle.
- Subcutaneous (SC): Injected under the skin.
- Intravenous (IV): Administered directly into the vein.
- Intrauterine (IU): Diluted and infused into the uterus, primarily in horses and cows to treat metritis (uterine infections).
- Intravitreal/Intrascleral: Injected into the back of the eye to treat end-stage glaucoma and reduce pain.
