Robenidine Feed Mix

Robenidine is a feed supplement used to prevent coccidiosis, a parasitic infection in poultry (broiler chickens and turkeys) and rabbits. It is mixed into the animals' feed, and fed continuously as the sole ration during specific life stages. 

Robenidine Feed Mix is indicated as an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis inBroiler chickens, Broiler turkeys and Rabbits.

INDICATIONS

  • Broiler Chickens: Prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria acervulina, E. brunetti, E. maxima, E. mivati, E. necatrix, and E. tenella.
  • Broiler Turkeys: Prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria adenoeides, E. meleagrimitis, E. gallopavonis, and E. dispersa.
  • Rabbits: Prevention of coccidiosis in weaned, growing, and breeding rabbits caused by Eimeria magna, E. media, and E. stiedae.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Route: The product is a powder or granular premix that is mixed into the complete feed at specific concentrations (e.g., 30-36 mg/kg for chickens/turkeys, 50-66 mg/kg for rabbits).
  • Regimen: It is typically fed continuously as the only ration during the period of risk, such as from one day old for poultry or after weaning for rabbits.
  • Limitations:
    • Withdrawal Period: A withdrawal period (typically 5 to 6 days) is required before slaughter for human consumption to ensure residues are below maximum limits and avoid off-flavors in edible tissues.
    • Do Not Feed To: It must not be fed to animals producing eggs or milk for human consumption, nor to breeding chickens, turkeys, or pregnant rabbits.
    • Not for Treatment: It is intended for prevention, not for the treatment of an active coccidiosis outbreak.
