Vaxxinova’s Vaxxon SRP Salmonella vaccine (Salmonella Newport Bacterial Extract) is indicated to aid in the control of disease caused by Salmonella Newport.
INDICATIONS
- Vaxxon SRP Salmonella (Cattle):
- Target Species: Beef and dairy cattle (6 months of age or older).
- Indications: Aids in the control of disease and reduction of fecal shedding caused by Salmonella Newport.
- Benefits: Reduces clinical signs of diarrhea (up to 82%), decreases fecal shedding (up to 99.9%), and may improve milk production.
- Administration: Subcutaneous injection.
- Vaxxon SRP SE (Poultry):
- Target Species: Chickens (10 weeks of age or older).
- Indications: Aids in the vaccination against Salmonella Enteritidis.
- Benefits: Proven to reduce colonization in the reproductive tract (ovaries and oviducts).
- Administration: 0.25 mL subcutaneous dose, with revaccination in 8–10 weeks.
ADMINISTRATION
- Method: Subcutaneous (SC) injection.
- Dosage: 2 mL per dose.
- Protocol: Administer two doses, 2 to 4 weeks apart.
- Target: Dry cows and bred heifers should receive both doses prior to calving.
- Withdrawal: Do not vaccinate within 60 days of slaughter.
- Storage: Keep refrigerated
