Aviax Premix

Phibro Aviax Premix (Semduramicin) is used in broiler chickens for the prevention and control of coccidiosis, a parasitic disease caused by various Eimeria species. Active ingredient semduramicin sodium, an ionophore anticoccidial that targets Eimeria parasites. A WOAH Veterinary Medicine.

Semduramicin premix is an anticoccidial agent indicated for the prevention of coccidiosis in broiler chickens.

  • Application: The product is a powder or granulated feed additive that is mixed into the chicken’s complete feed at a specific inclusion rate, typically 20 to 25 mg of semduramicin per kg of feed. This ensures consistent dosage and optimal distribution within the feed.
  • Purpose: Helps to reduce lesion scores, mortality rates, and improve overall growth and feed efficiency in birds.
  • Increased rate of weight gain and feed efficiency in broiler chickens.
  • When used in combination with other approved medications (e.g., nicarbazin in Aviax Plus, or virginiamycin), it may also aid in the prevention of necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens

ADMINISTRATION

  • Mixed into feed: The premix is thoroughly mixed into the chicken feed to achieve a specific concentration of semduramicin, typically 20 to 25 grams per tonne of finished feed. This ensures consistent dosing to each bird.
  • Fed continuously: The medicated feed is provided continuously as the sole ration to the broiler chickens.
  • Sole species: It is strictly for use in broiler chickens and must not be consumed by any other animals or birds, as toxicity may occur.
