Bioveta CLOTEID 4 is an inactivated vaccine used for the active immunization of horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and dogs against tetanus.
INDICATIONS
- Target Species: Horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and dogs (aged 3 months and older).
- Purpose: Active immunization against tetanus caused by Clostridium tetani.
- Dosage and Administration: 2 x 1 ml doses at a 3-week interval, administered intramuscularly.
- Immunity Duration: Immunity is fully developed 14–21 days after basic vaccination and lasts for at least 2 years.
- Contraindications: Do not use in ill, cachectic, or convalescent animals.
- Method of Administration: In horses, the “dry needle” method is recommended, preferably into the gluteal muscles.
- Warning: Shake the vial well before use.
ADMINISTRATION
- Method: The vaccine must be injected into the muscle.
- Special Technique for Horses: Manufacturers recommend using the “dry needle” method.
- Gluteal muscle: Preferred site for horses.
- Neck or breast musculature: Alternative sites for extremely agitated or “unquiet” horses.
- Preparation: The vial must be shaken well before use to ensure a proper suspension.
