Intas Marbomet (marbofloxacin) is a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic for cats and dogs used in treating skin infections, respiratory tract infections and UTIs.

INDICATIONS

• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Treats bacterial infections affecting the bladder, kidneys, and prostate.
• Skin & Soft Tissue Infections: Treats superficial and deep pyoderma, wounds, and secondary skin infections.
• Respiratory Tract Infections: Addresses conditions like pneumonia and bacterial upper respiratory infections.
• Other Uses: Sometimes used off-label to manage specific bacterial or protozoal conditions (e.g., hemoplasmosis in cats).

ADMINISTRATION

• Dosage: Typically 2 to 5 mg/kg of body weight, administered orally once daily according to a specific weight-based prescription.
• Contraindications: Should be avoided in growing, immature animals (young dogs and cats) due to the risk of joint cartilage damage (arthropathy).
