VEYONG Eprinomectin is indicated for the treatment and control of internal and external parasites in cattle.
INDICATIONS
Gastrointestinal Roundworms
It is effective against both adult and fourth-stage larval (L4) forms of several pathogenic roundworms:
- Bunostomum phlebotomum (150 days of persistent effectiveness).
- Ostertagia ostertagi and Ostertagia lyrata (120 days), including inhibited L4 stages.
- Haemonchus placei (120 days).
- Oesophagostomum radiatum (120 days).
- Cooperia oncophora, C. punctata, and C. surnabada (100 days).
- Trichostrongylus axei (100 days).
- Trichostrongylus colubriformis.
2. Lungworms
- Dictyocaulus viviparus: Indicated for the treatment and control of adult lungworms with persistent protection for up to 150 days.
3. External Parasites (Ectoparasites)
- Grubs: Effective against parasitic stages of cattle grubs, including Hypoderma bovis and Hypoderma lineatum.
- Mites: Indicated for the treatment and control of Sarcoptes scabiei var. bovis (sarcoptic mange) and Chorioptes bovis.
- Lice: Some formulations also list sucking lice such as Linognathus vituli and Haematopinus eurysternus.
ADMINISTRATION
Administered to cattle as a subcutaneous injection, in front of the shoulder, to treat and control a wide range of internal and external parasites with a single, long-lasting dose.
- Route: Subcutaneous injection only.
- Site: Under the loose skin in front of the shoulder.
- Dosage: The standard dosage is 1 milliliter (mL) per 110 pounds (50 kg) of body weight.
- Equipment: A 16- or 18-gauge, ½ to ¾ inch needle is used. The injection site should be sanitized with a disinfectant. Doses greater than 10 mL should be divided between two separate injection sites to minimize discomfort or tissue reactions.
